To
our administrators, teachers, parents, and other visitors, a pleasant morning.
I
would you my fellow graduates to hold hands as we enjoy this moment. Let us
remember the grip of these hands which remind us that we will be forever safe
even as we partake for we have different roads to travel upon.
Fellow
graduates, these hands remind us the greatest memories and experiences we
shared together, the laughter we had with each other, the times when we build
bridges of gaps, and most of all, and these hands once reminded us that we are
indeed brothers and sisters.
Do you still remember the first time
we set out feet in this school-in this very ground where marched? It still
curves ever so slowly u=in my mind the time when most of us cried because we
don’t want our parents or nannies to leave. Funny it was. Besides, most of us
also were very excited to meet our classmates and teachers. We were very
innocent of what we were then but very excited and challenged with the new
experiences we undergone through.
Do you also remember that moment
when our teacher asked rather obliged us to develop our skill in speaking by
memorizing a 3-5 minute then 5-7 minute speech? It was really an exhausting experience
but we did learn a lot especially in expressing our views concerning the given
themes for the public speaking. Nonetheless, we became more confident and
fluent in speaking the second language which is English. Another fun memories
to reminisce were the competitions we joined in inside and outside the campus.
We even dared to be in Timor Plaza for such competitions; luckily most of us
went home with a big smile for we were rewarded. Watching movies at Cineplex
also added flavor in our lives. Dear fellows, these are just some of the
memories that we need to treasure for we became learned as we were taught by
these experiences. We became tougher and happier as we enjoyed each other’s
jocund company.
Time is fleeting. From the crying
babies we were once, look at us now, we are the graduates of class 2015. Didn’t
you ever realize that it’s been years and years that we became devoted in our
studies just to reach this point of achievement? Well, we have to start
preparing ourselves for we will enter another threshold of learning. As
graduates, we need to be more responsible of our actions. Let us work together
to make a difference so that we will always compliment our dear alma mater for
shaping our lives and for being a proud citizen of this nation. We will be
crossing different paths but no matter how long our path will be, we will
always meet halfway.
I also wanted to have this
opportunity to express my gratitude to all my classmates and school mates for
always being there for me. To my parents and relatives for always reminding me
to be more discipline and responsible, I owe you a lot. With the absence of
parents who are out of the country, a big thanks to my aunt who is here with me
today.
To
all our teachers, thank you very much for the blast of wisdom we have learned
from you all. As you always remind us, let success chase us as we race with the
value of education.
To my dear alma mater, we will never
forget the values you instill to us-RESPECT. We will always bear this in mind
wherever we will be. Thank you for helping us how to actualize our dreams, for
shaping our innocent beings-you are indeed our guiding light.
As advised by our guest of honor Her
Excellency Dulce De Jesus Soares, let us utilize our analytical thinking
skills. We will take heed of this as we enter another room of learning.
Above all, I want to express my
deepest gratitude to the heavenly father for without Him, these things will never
happen. We are dedicating our diplomas to you four unfathomable love and
support. Thank you Father for we are guided in every step we take.
May God bless us all.
Happy graduation. Obrigado barak!
