2015 Message of Gratitude

To the Vice Minister of Education 1, Her Excellency Sra.Dulce de Jesus Soares, to the school administrators headed by the Founder and Executive Director and Chief Internal Auditor, Mr. Martin B. Papay Jr., teachers, parents, students, especially the graduating class, good morning.

It is an honor for me to be here before you to represent the parents in this joyous occasion.  As a parent, always as usual, in any momentous graduation like this, serves as a way to bring us into the elation of happiness knowing that our children opened another portal of success.

To the graduates, first of all, I want to congratulate you all for you have been reaping the fruits of your sacrifices. Today is a special day for all of us. But for you, this is the result of your dedication in studying. As parents, we are very proud of your amazing development. But remember, your achievements today are just one of the milestones which will serve as the foundation of tomorrow as you turn the next page of your success.

To the teachers, all the achievements that the children have today prove your never ending support and guidance which are manifested in their achievements. Their tireless efforts, love, and your passion and dedication in teaching helped them developed not only their mental capabilities but more so on their spiritual aspects. Your contributions and all efforts manifest how thoughtful we are. Entrusting our children’s development to you, made us proud for they were taught with the values of moral and ethics which young people need nowadays.

As parents, we are also grateful with what all the teachers of Maharlika International School have done for the students. For all these reasons, our gratitude should be addressed to all of you.

To the parents, I also want to congratulate you for being here today. Your presence is a great evidence of your love and support you have with your child. With the curriculum that the school had adapted, sometimes, the parents are also becoming students too; keep themselves busy with homework and projects of the kids.

All these, are parts of the duty or roles of parents for we are indeed the first teachers of our children.

I believe that nothing equates our feeling of happiness right at this very moment seeing our children in their success.

Your achievements dear graduates are our achievements too as parents and teachers. Be armored with thorough knowledge and wisdom as you take another path to walk on. Let your learnings from your teachers, from your parents serve as your guiding light. Believe in yourself because the world prepares a room for success for you to actualize these in the real world.

In this sense, we also recognize the role of the ministry of education of Timor Leste that always supports the development of this school and the students. We still seek the guidance and support of the ministry in the future.

We hope all these efforts, will contribute positively for the betterment of our school and the future of our children and nation.

Above all, we will never forget all the achievements that we enjoy today because these are the blessings of our Lord.

Good luck and God bless you all. Mabuhay!

2021 Graduation, Moving-Up and Recognition Message from the Founder & Executive Director

T oday is a joyous day amidst these trying times! Please allow me to express my utmost  gratitude to everyone and my warmest felicitations too on this remarkable day! The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought drastic changes not only in East Timor but the entire world. It has created challenges and difficulties in the society that we live. Many aspects of our lives have been greatly affected and in this context, the educational process of the human person. Educational institutions were not spared. We have seen over the year the changes that everyone has to adapt in the light of elucidation and of progress. Classes were modified to comply with the protocols and guidelines of the government, health and education authorities; and due to lockdowns declared by the government, the teaching-learning processes were reformed. During the remaining two (2) months of the Academic Year 2020-2021, our students stayed and learned in their homes while their teachers taught in their own places. Tech
