2015 Graduation Welcome Address

CORNELIA MAGNO (Class Salutatorian)

To our honorable guest of speaker Vice minister of Education 1, her Excellency Dulce De Jesus Soares, to our Founder and Executive Director Martin B. Papay, our Director for Administration, Rosemarie P. Medrano, our Director for Academic Programs, Charles Michael B. Papay, our dear teachers, our beloved teachers, fellow graduates and schoolmates, other guests, welcome to the 7th Commencement of class 2015.

Today, I believe, is the first time that for most of us, experience the quintessence of graduation, perhaps, it is more than likely the wettest, and it is more than likely to be our last in elementary level. Despite its finality, today is not the last day that we will spend celebrating each other’s lives together. The bonds we developed during our elementary years, for those whom we just met, are some of the deepest many of us have ever known, and it is without doubt in my mind that we will continue to see each other in the next chapter of our journey.

Finally, on behalf of all the graduates, I send out our heartfelt thanks and welcome to those of you who traveled from near and far to join us here today. Not only do we appreciate your presence at this ceremony, but also you’re endless guidance and support over the past six, and more often, years. We could have not been at this par; we could not have experienced marching on this aisle, wear blue and white gowns, enjoying the cups in our heads as the wind plays with its tussles, these are all impossible if not without your greatest sacrifices. You are noteworthy of that-you brought us to one of the apex of our achievements. Fellow graduates, let us take a moment to applaud those who have helped us to reach this monumental point in our lives.

Once again, bemvindo mai ami nia graduasaun 2015.

2021 Graduation, Moving-Up and Recognition Message from the Founder & Executive Director

T oday is a joyous day amidst these trying times! Please allow me to express my utmost  gratitude to everyone and my warmest felicitations too on this remarkable day! The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought drastic changes not only in East Timor but the entire world. It has created challenges and difficulties in the society that we live. Many aspects of our lives have been greatly affected and in this context, the educational process of the human person. Educational institutions were not spared. We have seen over the year the changes that everyone has to adapt in the light of elucidation and of progress. Classes were modified to comply with the protocols and guidelines of the government, health and education authorities; and due to lockdowns declared by the government, the teaching-learning processes were reformed. During the remaining two (2) months of the Academic Year 2020-2021, our students stayed and learned in their homes while their teachers taught in their own places. Tech
